Personal
I started my career as a photographer during my junior year of high school in 2013. I had no formal education in photography and film making. As a matter of fact, I studied Aeronautical Science, a fancy way of saying flying airplanes. Little did I know that a single google search that made me fall in love with photography, and editing video games footage, would not only help me create a business that made me happy, but also change I approached my many other passions in life.

Not gonna lie, friends, I’m writing this from my luxurious suite overlooking the glittering lights of Las Vegas. Here I am, attending the NAB Show 2023 – a prominent industry event for broadcasting professionals – and I’m loving every minute of it. I’m traveling for work, meeting fascinating people, and even indulging in some first-class […]
So there I was, I accomplished a goal that has taken two years: I paid off my balance that I owed to my university. This meant I’d be able to return to school… until I wasn’t. Let me back track a bit. As I was going through the processes of getting all the holds cleared […]
To some, I am the life of the party: not afraid to work the dance floor. To some, I am the dream plan chaser, never giving up despite all obstacles. To some, I am the person not afraid to rock a trench coat in the 90 degree weather of Florida rocking all black with a walk […]
It’s been a year since I’ve flown a plane. I never thought I’d ever go this long without flying. I would hear the kids on campus talk about how they had their pilots license, and how it had been so long since they had flown, thinking I’d never be one of those people. But here […]
So, I disobeyed momma. I went out and made friends on the internet and shot their maternity photos! Let me backtrack a little: I’m part of the Grand Rapids chapter of a creative group called The Rising Tide Society. It’s a group that’s focused on the core principle of community over competition. Now let me […]
And so we fought. I mean we really fought. Better go and get your armor, fighting with family is going down. I mean we were trying to get under each other skin. We were angry. We were livid. At that point, all cards were on the table. There was no holding back. Tear flowed. Voices […]
A wise woman named Marissa once said to me, “have your goals, know what it is you want to do, but allow the path you take to change as needed.” I am terrible at remember quotes and butchered the wording, but I do remember this moment. A moment that came after a fragile private pilot […]
The topic of hitting your lowest point is no foreign subject to this blog. As many of my close friends may know, I myself was at my lowest point in every facet of life. With the help of many great friends I (and my family) were able to escape that low. Having been homeless my […]
As a child I have always been a dreamer. Any time I was asked what I wanted to do people were shocked by how bold my answers were. (There must be something strange about a 5th grader wanting to be an Olympian that flies airplanes and travels the world). As I grew older those […]
We all have our own battles. We all struggle on some level with our selves. We often tend to internalize our problems which sometimes can lead to a lack of communication and understanding from another persons perspective. This is the route cause of major family arguments. The problem is when we lose sight of what’s […]
