It started with a text: she was getting engaged and she needed a photographer for engagement photos. But, there’s a catch: she’s in Toronto, and I am in Florida. I leaped with joy because I knew that it was at this moment I would become an international photojournalist! So after discussing some logistics, the plan was set in motion for me to fly to Toronto.
Jovita and Lambros met in Toronto. Thus, the city has a special place in their love story. Both of them are Aerospace Engineers, so hectic doesn’t come close to describing their work schedules; however, during their weekends off, they find themselves spending time with friends grabbing food and drinks. Outside of their love for all things space and food, they share a deep love of travel which makes them the ultimate globe trotter duo.
When I arrived in Toronto, it was my first time meeting Lambros and seeing these two together. Now let me tell you, the saying opposites attract was proven true on this trip in the best of ways. What makes them such a cute couple is their different personalities. Lambros is a soft spoken guy that you could never imagine getting angry. His tender love and affection were shown consistently with Jovita the way he helped her onto the rocks and was consistently checking on her needs. Jovita is strong independent woman, but Lambros can break that wall down with ease. It’s an interesting dynamic because Jo’ isn’t the touchy feely type of girl. But time and time again Lambros was able to bring a smile to her face.
Because this was a four day trip, we decided to shoot in multiple locations: Humber Park Bay, Niagara Falls, and Toronto Island Park!
