If there’s one thing I love about weddings, it’s the story. And this was a day filled with many stories that brought the day together. Bianca is a friend of my mother, who naturally became a friend of mine. She has gotten me addicted to many TV Shows, in addition to making me think a different way about many things. I was fortunate enough to spend this wedding day not only as a photographer, but as a friend as well. Having spent most of her life in Detroit, Bianca considers the city home. The wedding took place in a tiny little town snuggled just outside of the big city: Southgate Michigan. This was a day you could tell love was in the air. The sun was pouring from the sky, the wind was calm, and everything just felt right. This wedding is not only a marriage of two people, but a marriage of two families. Both Bianca and Kieth had families of their own prior to meeting. They have also brought the cutest little bundle of joy into the world, baby Bryson.
Bianca & Keith, thank you so much for entrusting your special day to me. The story of your wedding day has deepened my appreciation for love and family. May you continue to shine through all life throws at you, both good and bad. With love and a contagious smile, SBG.
When I arrived in the room to photograph the details, I spotted this little guy just sleeping. He wasn’t feeling the best today so he was taking a little nap.
Bryson has thing for cellphones. It was the most effective distraction while Bianca combed through his hair.
Bridal Prep took place at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Soughtgate Michigan.
Bianca is a master at juggle tasks. I mean look at this girl! From feeding the baby to keeping in contact.
Bianca opted for these blinged out heels for the ceremony
And can we talk about these blinged out flats ?! Awesome choice for the reception.
The tie, watch, and cufflinks for the groom.
Whats gonna work… Teamwork! (I almost teared up at this moment, son helping father, father helping son <3)
Mr. Reed look extra sharp with smiles for days !
I decided to head to the venue before the bride and groom arrived to finish their preparation. The chapel room was bright, simple, clean, and just downright gorgeous.
I am still swooning over the bling theme and how well it worked withe the flowers and the color pallet.
Yes, the cake tasted as good as it looked.
The wedding party arrived just as I finished up the details (can you say perfect timing). Bianca finished up by putting on her gorgeous dress and jewelry.
The groomsmen decided to spend their time in a more relaxing fashion.
“Where there is love, there is life”
Mother nature decided she needed to let go of some stress and take a few moments to cry, so we opted for a few indoor portraits.
love transcends time, and the value of love is something that is passed down from generation to generation forever making its mark on the world.
A couple that slays together, stays together.
Cutting their first slice of cake together….
…Okay lets be honest, sometimes it’s a one person job.
That “You better not smash that cake in my face” smile
For 5 minutes, I repeat 5 minutes mother nature decided to stop raining. So I took the time for the couple to have a little moment a lone.
“Love is that condition in the human spirit so profound that it allows me to survive, and better than that, to thrive with passion, compassion, and style.” – Maya Angelo
This wedding was warm and inviting. Everyone was enjoying each others company. Family members were reminiscing. Friends were smiling. There’s no other place you’d really want to be.
Im going to end on this photo because the happiness in these images really just express the entire day.
Many thanks to the creative teams which help bring this day together!
