The Feeling of Accomplishment

April 17, 2015

Recently, after moving off campus, I have pretty much been on my own. My friends stop by from time to time and help me out with things, but I have somewhat learned to do a lot more on my own. Now– Im not talking about things like cooking, cleaning, and doing laundry. My momma made sure I could do all of those by the age of fetus. Literally. (Okay maybe like age 5). It’s things like building thing and assembling furniture. Now, if we are going to KIR (keep it real), I have never really been good at those things. I can dive, I can take awesome photos, and I can fly planes, but building a headboard and mounting it by myself is something I never thought I’d do. The last thing I built was a dog house, and that is some where in my basement back in Michigan as scrap wood. But when I say assembled and mounted this headboard, which was supposed to be a two person job, by my self, I am just as shocked as you are. Turns out you don’t always need help.

Live. Love. Laugh.
