It wasn’t long ago that I sat sitting homeless in a hotel wondering how I was going to feed my family and my dog. Although I’m only 20, I have learned a lot about overcoming adversity for the sake of reaching goals. I get you: I get the doubt, I get the struggle, I get the roller coaster of emotion that comes with pursuing big goals. From the age of three, I knew I wanted to be a pilot: 13 years later, I got my pilots license. In fifth grade, I was the fat kid that decided I wanted to go to the Olympic Games. 10 Years later, I’m as dedicated as ever, taking it one step at a time. I get wanting to give up. I get giving up: my freshmen year of college, I gave up on my dream of becoming an olympian. But when trouble struck, I decided that I would rather live with an oops than a what if. I’d rather fail publicly, than lie on my death bed contemplating all the what if in life. So I took a leap of faith, rebranded my photography business, and got back on the diving board. I learned how to target the people I want to work with, and I started doing dives I could never do before. By simply not giving up, my life has changed for the better.
